For Immediate Release

OMAHA, Neb. (March 24, 2020) – Outlook Business Solutions recently appointed Diana Criser to its new Accessibility Advisory Council for its digital accessibility testing service offering, Ally Support. The social enterprise also provides marketing and customer care services to organizations as well as employment to professionals with vision loss.

Outlook’s vision for the Accessibility Advisory Council is to assemble a team of strategic partners who have a passion for improving the user experience for people relying on assistive technology to access digital content. Websites, applications and software are often plagued by errors that make them incompatible with the adaptive technologies used by people with a range of disabilities.

Criser, a product and field technology specialist with Securities America, based in Omaha, Neb., specializes in the continuous improvement of web-based applications. She is a certified user experience analyst (CXA) and certified usability analyst (CUA) by Human Factors International, the world’s largest company specializing in user experience (UX) design.

“We are pleased to welcome Diana as the inaugural member of our Accessibility Advisory Council during an exciting time with our company,” said Natalie Hadley, vice president of Outlook Business Solutions. “With more than 20 years of experience as a designer, she will help us drive our Ally Support service to ensure our clients are offering their customers an inclusive online experience. Companies will increase brand loyalty and grow revenue by gaining better access to the significant purchasing power of people with disabilities.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 25 percent of adults in the U.S. have some type of disability. A report from the American Institutes for Research cites the discretionary income for people with disabilities is about $21 billion.

“I am proud to collaborate with Outlook Business Solutions to help develop Ally Support,” Criser said. “As the world continues to move online, it is critical that no one is left behind in gaining access to the tools helping us stay connected to employment, commerce, education and our loved ones.”

Outlook Business Solutions works with entities to create workplaces that are more inclusive and aligned with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), the global standard for digital accessibility to web content for a range of end-users, including individuals, organizations and governments. Ally Support is the company’s subscription-based offering that provides accessibility expertise for development teams and content creators, allowing them to troubleshoot and remove accessibility issues without having to add full-time staff.

As the only local accessibility testing organization, Outlook Business Solutions–through Ally Support–provides automated and manual testing performed by people who rely on assistive technology in their daily lives.

“I look forward to partnering with Diana and growing our Accessibility Advisory Council to help our clients deliver better customer experiences to expand the reach of their products and services,” said Greg Rogers, accessibility testing project manager for Outlook Business Solutions.
